When life goes as planned, it’s like a beautiful day with clear skies and comfortable weather. But sometimes things happen that we didn’t plan for and we don’t want. Suddenly we feel unsteady and unstable like we are on a stormy sea and we can’t seem to get our balance. It is normal to feel afraid when we don’t know what is going to happen next. The good news is that we are not alone. Jesus is walking through the storm with us. Just like he told his disciples he is also telling us, “Take courage, it is me. Do not be afraid.” Jesus is our security. He is stable, constant, and dependable. He doesn’t leave us. When we feel afraid When we feel like we are sinking, Jesus reaches out his hand and pulls us up by his side.
