When we are mistreated because of someone’s preconceived ideas, it leaves us wrestling with hurt, anger, and bitterness.  Jesus told a story in which people of different credentials and ethnicity were given the opportunity to care for their fellow man. His story shows that God cares about the condition of our hearts rather than our outward appearance, and we are to love others as though their lives are just as valuable as ours.  Our actions toward others reveal the true condition of our heart, whether we are filled with pride and prejudice, or compassion and love. When no one is watching, will you stop to help or walk on past?
